PRIVACY, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

Your screen tests stay on your device.

ScreenScope performs manual pixel, touch-coverage, multi-touch, and display-information checks locally. You do not need an account, and the app does not upload your test input.

01

Tests work offline

Diagnostic screens do not need a network connection.

02

No sensitive permissions

ScreenScope does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files.

03

Ads stay outside tests

A banner may appear on the home screen, never inside a diagnostic test.

01 / OVERVIEW

What ScreenScope does

ScreenScope is an Android utility for visually inspecting solid colors, mapping touch response, checking simultaneous touch points, and reading display values reported by Android through Flutter. The results are for manual inspection only. The app does not claim to repair pixels, calibrate hardware, or diagnose every physical fault.

Your taps, swipes, grid coverage, multi-touch positions, and displayed device facts are processed in the app and are not sent to Dev Jang.

02 / DATA & ADS

Information used by advertising services

ScreenScope uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. When ads are allowed, Google and its partners may process information such as your IP address, advertising identifier, general device information, ad interactions, and diagnostics for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Processing depends on your region, device settings, and consent choices.

Important: ScreenScope does not sell your personal information. Dev Jang does not maintain a separate database of your screen-test activity.

Network and advertising identifiers

The app can use internet and network-state access to load a home-screen banner. On supported Android versions, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access the Advertising ID. Test screens remain available when ads cannot load.

Third-party services

Google's handling of advertising data is governed by its own terms and policies. Review Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

03 / YOUR CHOICES

You stay in control

  • Consent: Where required, ScreenScope asks for your advertising consent before requesting ads.
  • Advertising ID: Android settings let you reset or delete your advertising identifier and manage ad privacy.
  • Offline use: You can continue using the diagnostic tests without an internet connection.
  • Uninstall: Removing ScreenScope deletes its local app data from your device, subject to Android backup settings.

Children's privacy

ScreenScope is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Dev Jang account system because the app has no account system.

Retention and security

Dev Jang does not retain your test input on a server. Advertising providers retain and protect information under their own policies. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
